We are a family owned business located in the centre of York by the River Ouse. Our wine bar has gained a reputation for a wide range of beers and spirits coupled with an excellent selection of wines and champagnes. Close to The Grand Opera House and city centre, Plonkers Wine Bar is an ideal place to meet with friends or colleagues for a relaxed drink.

In addition we offer a unique selection of International meals including Thai, European and English cuisine, freshly prepared on the premises. Our restaurant is open at lunchtimes and evenings , Sunday lunches are a speciality. Weekends at Plonkers can have a party atmosphere where you can relax after work with friends. Upstairs seats approximately 26 but we can cater for buffets for around 40 people with some standing.
We now have our outside riverside area, where we serve food and drinks 10am - 8pm weather permitting.
